{US ARMY} My son’s graduation Fort Benning Georgia | Kimberly Kay Photography

It’s been an emotional and very busy few days. As many of you may of seen on my private Facebook page, my oldest son graduated from basic training in the US Army at Fort Benning Georgia this past Friday. It was an incredible moment to witness my first child grow into an amazingly courageous, strong, smart, successful, mature, polite, honorable, professional,  humble MAN!!!! He is my rock and hero for sure!  It was really special to receive weekly letters from my son over the past 4 months. And then to witness one of the greatest accomplishments thus far in Bret life was a pretty remarkable experience that I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.  I could not possibly be any more proud of him. I pray that god watches over my son as he embarks on a dangerous career of defending and protecting our freedom and the USA.  I thought I would share a little blog post.

The first day was a “family day” they called it “Turning Blue” it was the pinning of the blue rope on the formal uniform. My son asked me to do the honors.
