{For the Bride + Groom} Kimberly Kay Photography Wedding Tip:

If you have a close relationship with your parents… You may want to consider taking time on your wedding day just for them. Here are a few ideas you might like to consider….

1. A private “First look” with your Father
2. Considering only getting dressed with your mom
3. Some private alone time for a prayer or a few candid photos
4. Exchanging gifts with your parents during your “getting ready time”

Any of these options allow for some great candid images that I can capture that you can provide as a gift to your parents. Remembering that your wedding day is a very special and emotional day for your parents most often times just as much as it is for you. All they want is for their children to be happy… and for everything to be perfect for you on your wedding day. It marks a new chapter in their life just as much as yours. Images such as this one below, will be something I’m sure this mother will cherish for the rest of her life. These moments can also calm the nerves and relax the parents a little as well….

This particular bride chose to only get dressed with her mother. This provided the opportunity of some beautiful getting ready photos of just the two of them. But also allowed the bride a little bit of quiet and calm time before she said “i do” which eased the nerves.

Hope this helps!
