Carolyne + Michael exchanged little messages in a bottle that they wrote to each other on the morning of their wedding day. Priceless emotional moments…and I loved the creative idea of course!
Michael’s wedding gift to Carolyne was a diamond that has been in his family since 1891. It was originally in his grandmother’s necklace, when she passed away Michael’s father put it into a men’s ring in 1975 which he wore for years. Michael chose to continue the tradition by having the diamond placed into a new beautiful necklace setting made by C Thomas Hunt designs especially for Carolyne!

All guest were able to enjoy some lovely wine prior to the wedding ceremony at the HammerSky Vineyard tasting room
Colombian Marriage Tradition: This is a special part of Carolyne’s Colombian heritage. Carolyne and Michael recently visited their family in Colombia where they were gifted with 13 gold coins called “Arras”. The number of coins is significant in that 13 is an odd number that is not dividable, it is meant to symbolize the strength of a marriage and how it too cannot be divided. Michael placed the 13 coins in Carolyne’s hands. Carolyne then poured the coins back into Michael’s hands. The transfer of the coins back and forth symbolizes their commitment to sharing their lives together. The fact that there are 13 coins signifies values in mind and maintain those values in their marriage. Those values includes: love, trust, commitment, respect, joy, happiness, harmony, wisdom, nurture, care, cooperation, peace, and laughter.
A Vintage 1973 bottle Don Perignon was purchased by Carolyne’s parents the year she was born in 1978 and was meant to be opened on a special occasion… Carolyne’s wedding day was the perfect opportunity!
