  • […] Poipu lies on the south shore of Kauai. Kauai is the oldest of the Hawaiian Islands, and it is known as the Garden Island for it’s lush vegetation. Kristen and Sean booked a shoot for the day after the wedding. On the afternoon of their first day of their marriage we joined them at Na Aina Kai Gardens. This photograph was taken at “The Point”. We also visited the Teak Plantation, Golden Bamboo forest, and the beach. Kauai receives a great amount of rain . During our stay it would rain for a few minutes each day. Barely a sprinkle , sometimes a downpour. During our shoot at Na Aina Kai we were hit with a brief deluge while down at the beach. Our scrim provided the only refuge from the torrents of rain.
