Jeff and Emily generously provided for our airfare to San Francisco last weekend to take their engagement photographs. They first met in San Francisco in their early twenties, when they both worked for the city. They became friends, but their careers eventually led them in different directions and they lost touch. About five years later, they ran in to each other at a Starbucks. What Emily didn’t know at the time was that Jeff had had a crush on her when they worked together all those years before. Having noted the absence of a ring on Emily’s finger, Jeff went home that night and dug out his five year old little black book in search of her phone number. Luckily for Jeff, Emily’s number hadn’t changed. He sent her a text and she responded. They met up and the rest is history (including his little black book)!
Emily and Jeff will be married this summer in the Great Hall at the Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, OR. We are so appreciative of both their generosity and the opportunity to experience and photograph many of their favorite places in the city where they fell in love. We started off at Ocean Beach for some fun shots of the couple splashing in the surf. From there we went on to Golden Gate Park. We stopped off for some mural shots in the Mission district, where we also enjoyed an authentic Mexican lunch with the couple. Next we headed over to Mission Delores Park, located between the Mission and Castro districts that provided gorgeous panoramic views of the City as well as some fun cable car track shots. We finished the day with some amazing scenes of the Golden Gate Bridge from the Crissy Field Beach Marina district.
You can’t have a photo shoot in San Francisco with out a cable car!
