Jeff met Sarah while vacationing in Newport, Oregon. Jeff was living in Hawaii at the time but the two felt a true connection and soon were traveling to visit each other. Jeff knew that Sarah was the one after she stuck it out for the full three days of a rain-soaked backpacking trip.
We had a wonderful time photographing Sarah and Jeff’s intimate wedding on the beach in Pacific City, Oregon last weekend. Jeff and Sarah chose the Pelkin Brewery in Pacific City as their wedding location because this was the place they went to on their first date.
It was a gorgeous day and the atmosphere was relaxed as Sarah prepared for the ceremony. She chose a strapless tea-length gown and dark teal/blue one-shoulder dresses for her bridesmaids. The ceremony, attended by fifty of Jeff and Sarah’s closest family and friends, was held on the beach with blue glass balls lining the aisle and white paper lanterns hung from wonderfully crooked tree branches.
At the reception, the tables were decorated with floating candles, starfish and wood cuts. The beach-themed cake was decorated with brown sugar sand and candy shells and sand dollars. The guests enjoyed the music graciously provided by one of Sarah’s bridesmaids and enjoyed cocktails by the fire pit out on the beach.
The adventurous couple, who have lived in several places and traveled extensively together are enjoying a kayaking trip on Orcas Island, Washington for their honeymoon.

Sarah’s friend brought her a shell all the way from Florida, she decided to use it in her bouquet.

Love family photos on the beach…always timeless
