Jill first came across our work when she read an article in Oregon Bride Magazine with a Real Wedding feature for a wedding we photographed at Sparks Lake. Though she was not yet engaged when the article was published, she began to follow our work and as soon as Tommy proposed Jill contacted us so that we could capture their engagement photography session in the meadows at Sparks Lake. They drove all the way from Vancouver, Washington to meet us for the first time. (LINK TO THEIR ENGAGEMENT PHOTO SHOOT) We took photographs as well as a video to document the day that also included Jill’s adorable daughter, Eva. We feel truly honored to have had the opportunity to get to know this amazing little family over the past year.
Jill and Tommy were married at one of the most romantic vineyards in Oregon, Red Ridge Farms. They were married under a vine covered arch in the garden. We also took portraits in the garden as well as in the vineyard and surrounding property. The reception was held at the Oregon Olive Mill.
The wedding and reception were enchanting, with a marked vintage style and almost everything from the paper balls hung at the reception (Jill even had a paper ball-making party) to the rustic vintage style wood holders for the floral center pieces made by her father was handmade by Jill and her family. Each vintage dinner plate was handpicked and collected over the course of a year by Jill and there was the scent of lavender from the Red Ridge lavender farm.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the home-brewed bourbon tea served in Mason jars. The cake was elegant yet simple with an adorable miniature replica of their new little family.
One thing that stuck out in my head is this amazing mother/daughter relationship between Jill and her daughter Eva and just how much Tommy loved Eva and couldn’t wait to be a part of their family. He was even sure to include in the wedding ceremony by presenting her with an engraved bracelet as a promise to be her hero. Eva was a bridesmaid for Jill and the new family were inseparable for the entire night.
Jill and Tommy’s friends and family definitely knew how to party and they danced hard and had a ball..jpg "J35")

One thing that really stuck out in my mind with this day was just how attentive Jill and Tommy are to Eva… Jill had her mind on not only the man of her dreams during the ceremony but on Eva as well. I kept catching Jill looking at her beautiful daughter and Eva truly was such an important part of this ceremony. It truly was a marriage between three and it was so inspiring to witness.jpg "J14")
