Jesi and Brent were open to suggestions on where to shoot their engagement photos. We love shooting at Smith Rock State Park here in Central Oregon. From the parking lot you cannot miss the stunning views that surround you. But it takes a more adventurous soul to make the hike up Misery Ridge to take some pictures from up on top. Well you can see where this is going. So they took us up on our suggestion to shoot at Smith Rock from up on top of the ridge. The weather was great, and the lighting was amazing. It was a great shoot. I think Jesi and Brent genuinely had a unique experience for their engagement session. We look forward to capturing their wedding at Tetherow Golf Club in Bend, OR the winter of 2014.
It was such an awesome hike up… but a windy day! And we think these photos show just how much… priceless..jpg)

Weddings from around the Northwest and destinations beyond.
Author Archives: adminMegan and Jonathan travelled from Dallas, Texas to Las Vegas, Nevada to have their engagement pictures taken. Their wedding is this February in Dallas. But to get something completely different they chose Las Vegas for their engagement photos. Las Vegas has been a special place for them because each year they visit on vacation. They really enjoy their time spent here, the entertainment capital of the world. So we headed downtown for that quintessential old vegas street scene with the neon signs along Fremont Street as a backdrop. The Silver Slipper was still in view. When we changed locations we moved from old Vegas to new Vegas. Finishing along “The Strip”. There ware so many pictures to be taken. It was a lot of fun shooting with these two. Here’s a little sneak peek!
Courtney caught Wes’s eye long before she tried out sprinting him on the Deschutes River trail here in Central Oregon. Their’s is a kindred spirit filled with sports, and adventure. Wes is very smitten with his bride, and you could tell. Just by the way we are told that he kept trying to keep up with her on the trail that day. Do you always run this fast? Maybe it was just how big he smiled every time he looked at her? But love has united them now. On this Mother’s Day weekend these two mothers, of the bride and groom, put together a wonderful event. The soon to be wed had only to decide between snowboarding or golf for each days events, maybe both? Family and friends from around the world joined them in witnessing their wedding at the historic St. Francis of Assisi Church in downtown Bend, Oregon. The wedding was followed by a wonderful evening at The Broken Top Club. The evening was even more perfect from the decks overlooking the lake at Broken Top. The weather was awesome, and the guests were all finding great views. Dessert, and dancing capped off this great event. VENDORS:
I can’t say enough about how precious this family is. You can tell there is a lot of love in this family. Daddy is home from over seas and Ruth really wanted this time in their life captured. I really enjoyed it because it was much like how I approach my wedding photography. Candid… more day in the life type of shoot. Priceless moments to cherish for many many years to come! It was a gorgeous day in Portland last weekend… we had a lot of fun capturing Jenn and Brian’s love story. Immediately we felt as though we had known them for years. We look forward to photographing their wedding on the Oregon Coast soon. |
