This was such a fun summer family portrait session at the breathtaking Smith Rock State Park here in Central Oregon. Lots of playful candid images that provided for a variety of portraits! This lovely family was vacationing from out of state and wanted a fun and relaxed family portrait session to document this time in their families life as the kids are getting older… one is graduating high school! Central Oregon was the perfect backdrop and offered different style something new from where they live. All the kiddos were just so sweet and loving towards each other… It was an honor working with all of them. Here’s a little sneak peek!

I love it when my couples want to capture their “own love story” during family portrait sessions… I think it’s so important to keep the marriage alive and keep documenting the love as the years go by. Often times couples will tell me at family portrait sessions that they haven’t actually had a professional photo taken as a couple since their wedding day and many times it’s been 20 years or so and many kids later. Often times my clients arrive at the photo shoot with only the intention of just capturing the family “all together or just the kids” Take time to remember to document your love not just your kids. Your marriage is just as important as your children and family. I would gladly take some fun romantic photos of just “mom and dad too”
